From the pages of Jetta: Tales of the Toshigawa - Defiance... "Kim's Story"

Here's the deal...Kim, the young leader of the Toshigawa ninja clan, is on a secret recon mission in the heart of new Tokyo. His back-up is a young group of ninja excited to begin their first mission. However, can the inexperienced group of warriors make it back from this mission alive when they encounter the demon army of the Knave?
For those of you who don’t know, this is a free web story that will be running at TOSHIGAWA.COM. Each Friday, we will post a new page of this exciting story. Each story is illustrated and written by guest artist and ties in with the main Jetta: Tales of the Toshigawa graphic novel series.

"Jetta splash poster" ~~saltygirl i've been gone for a while. from xanga. from art. having a baby will do that to you, ya know. you are suddenly not the center of your own life. a lot of things that you did on a regular basis, you can't do anymore because you either don't have time/$/energy to do them. but slowly you gain a bit of your old life back. we're taking the boy w/ us to supes celebration this weekend in metropolis, il. his 1st comic book event. i did this to sell @ the celebration. feels good to be back in the game.

For those of you who don't know, this is a free web story that is currently running on main site. Each Friday, we post a new page in this exciting UFC styled story depicting our 2 main characters, Jetta and Turra. Jetta is our main character and chosen one of the Toshigawa Ninja. She is the most powerful warrior in the clan. She has defeated everyone in her sparring path. There is only one person standing in her way. Her sword sister, Turra, is also undefeated and has left her fellow ninja knocked out on the mat. These two meet in martial arts action to determine the supreme champion of the sparring arena. hello friends & strangers! i've been gone a while, haven't i? let's see what news i have...
for starters, antone & i are now the very proud parents of baby boy anakin grayson wade. he was born @ 11:51pm on thurs. feb. 26th (just a week after his daddy's bday!). he weighed 7lbs 10oz & was 21in long. "mr. chops," as his granny jan calls him, takes up a lot of our time & energy, but darn it, you just can't say no to some1 so cute.
see?
he's just hit the 2 week mark & he's already gained a pound & is gulping down formula like there's no tmoro.
& for UPDATES ON JETTA STUFF...
1) TOSHIGAWA.COM V. 2.0 IS UP AND RUNNING! NEW LOOK! NEW FEEL! SAME GOOD STORIES! To celebrate, we have a special going on for the comic book readers and those of you that may be on the fence about picking up Jetta: Tales of the Toshigawa! We know the economy is in bad shape, but to help your collecting habits we're here to give you a little something to make comics collecting easy again. Throughout the months of March and April, we'll include a free comic book with your Jetta: Tales of the Toshigawa graphic novel order. The comic books are the (now) rare Jetta 'pilot' comic books that were created just before the graphic novels began.

3) the talented folks @ Hi-Fi (the same ppl that do colors for marvel & dc) were awesome enough to colorize the new cover to Jetta: Tales of the Toshigawa - Crucible's relaunch, slated to come out sometime in april *fingers crossed*.
4) & last but not least, Jetta: Tales of the Toshigawa - Defiance has been optioned for a movie. Lizard Brain Productions is developing a live-action adaptation of Martheus Wade's JETTA, a multi-genre action series. Lizard Brain filmmaker Bruce Williams said, “the project is in the very early stages, and the excitement here is palpable.” Williams promised “a high degree of faithfulness” to the graphic novel, and adds, “We are thrilled to get Calvin Roberts, from Ultraviolet and Star Wars fame, to work with us on the project.
JETTA is the story of one woman with a life-changing destiny. Shianndrea Toshigawa is the ‘Chosen One’, meant to lead the Toshigawa warriors against the evil of her father, Terminus, and his organization, the Knave. Death and destruction rain down over Japan as a war for control rages in this tale. However, through the anger, terror, and blood…a savior is born – whether she likes it or not.
